My clippers died mid haircut yesterday, total disaster

I was halfway through a fade on a regular at my shop in Portland when my Wahl Magic Clip just stopped spinning. No warning, no weird noise, just dead. Had to finish the cut with my old backup that needs new blades, took twice as long and looked rough for a minute. Anyone have a go to cordless clipper that won't quit on you after 6 months?

Hate it when tools just give up like that, no warning at all. Cordless stuff is great until it's not, and then you're scrambling with a backup that's seen better days. Makes you wonder if the old corded models were built tougher or if we're all just paying for convenience now.

Old corded tools were DEFINITELY built tougher.
