That time a retired barber in Wichita told me to stop using thinning shears completely
An old guy named Pete who'd been cutting since the 70s saw me using them on a client and said 'put those down, you're making extra work for yourself,' so I tried a full cut with just clippers and shears for a month and my fades have never been cleaner. Has anyone else ditched thinning shears entirely or am I missing something?

Yeah, I'd say stick with it. I've gone years without touching thinning shears and my work's better for it.

Yeah, "years without touching thinning shears" is exactly where I'm at too, just cleaner cuts every time.
