Rant: Everyone loves Franklin BBQ but I think their brisket is overhyped compared to La Barbecue

Oh sure, let's start a war over smoked meat, why don't we. I swear, people treat BBQ preferences like religious denominations around here. I've had both and honestly, Franklin's brisket is like a perfectly tuned engine - every single bite is exactly what you'd expect from a $300 smoker and 20 years of practice. La Barbecue is great too, don't get me wrong, but their brisket can be a little hit or miss on the fat rendering some days.
