inSpent $250 on a borescope for a 737 APU inspection
$250 is a steal for that find. A tiny crack in a fuel line is nightmare fuel. My go-to is a good mirror on a stick, but you just sold me on upgrading.

inCan we talk about how people keep calling every new AI model 'AGI'?
Wait, a text-to-video tool is a step toward AGI now? That's wild. It's just making clips from words, not thinking. The word has lost all meaning if we call every single upgrade "proto-AGI." Feels like marketing took over and just ran with the scariest acronym they could find.

inAlways thought the High Sierra Trail was too crowded, but a ranger in Sequoia last month changed my mind
Seriously, what part of the warning did she not get? The ranger's job is to keep people safe, not ruin their fun. Ignoring that is just asking for trouble.

inHeard a guy at the lumber yard say 'good enough' and it made me cringe
My neighbor's deck collapsed last summer because the ledger board was just nailed, not bolted. You see it everywhere, the stuff you don't see is the first thing to go. Makes you wonder how many other shortcuts are hiding in plain sight.

inMy brand new 18 gauge brad nailer jammed solid on the last piece of crown molding for a kitchen in Tempe yesterday.
Man, that last piece failure is a special kind of frustration. You're right to praise that Hitachi, @riverperry. My old Makita drill has the same kind of stubborn loyalty, just keeps going no matter how much I abuse it. Some tools just earn that lifetime pass.
