Got banned from a gardening forum for mentioning a specific weed killer

I found out last month that a popular gardening site quietly bans any mention of glyphosate products, even in DIY recipes. I posted a tip using a 2% solution for poison ivy and got permanently removed within 10 minutes. Has anyone else hit this kind of policy on a niche forum?

Oh man, this is wild but actually makes sense. My friend got booted from a plant swap group on Facebook just for mentioning she used it on her driveway cracks. She wasn't even promoting it, just asked if anyone else had good luck with it. The mods sent her a message saying any talk about that stuff is an automatic ban. She was so mad because she'd been in that group for like three years trading cuttings and advice. Now she just screenshots her recipes and shares them in DMs with people she trusts from there.

Feel for your friend, that sucks when you lose a community you've been part of for years over something so random. Makes the whole ban thing feel super personal and unfair. Smart move keeping it to DMs now, sometimes you gotta work around the rules just to share normal info with people.
