Had a vintage stem bolt snap on me mid-ride last Thursday

I was just cruising on a 1980s Peugeot I'd just finished tuning up. Heard a sharp crack and the bars went loose. The old steel quill stem bolt had sheared clean off right at the threads. I had to walk the bike two miles back to the shop. Pulled the stem and the break was full of old rust I'd missed. Anyone have a good source for oddball French-thread replacement parts?

Sounds like your bike decided to retire that part for you. Classic French engineering, right?

Classic French engineering reminds me of my old Peugeot's electrical system.
