My old shop foreman told me to stop using grease on pedal threads and it fixed my headache
For YEARS I was putting grease on pedal threads before installing them because that's what I always did. He pointed out that pedals actually need anti-seize or dry threads because grease makes them loosen over time. Has anyone else been doing it wrong this whole time or am I the only one?

Brother, I felt that "doing it wrong this whole time" line way too hard. I was the guy slathering Park grease on every thread like it was butter on toast. My left pedal kept backing off on a century ride and I almost ate pavement. Switched to dry threads with a dab of blue Loctite and haven't had a single issue since. Grease just lets them wiggle loose from pedal pressure over time. It's a dead simple fix but nobody tells you until you screw up bad.
