Remember when you could fix most bikes with a 15mm wrench and a screwdriver?
Had a guy bring in a 1992 Trek 950 last week, the whole drivetrain was shot. Took me maybe an hour and a half to strip it down, clean the old grease off, and put on a new chain and cassette. It was simple, everything was right there and easy to get to. Now I spend half my day just trying to get the right proprietary tool for some new integrated headset. Anyone else miss working on the old straightforward stuff?

Feels like everything's going that way... my coffee maker has a special pod system now, and even my kid's toys need a specific tiny screwdriver to change the batteries. It's like companies build things so you can't just fix them yourself anymore, you have to go back to them. Makes you feel a bit stuck.
