Thought sitcoms were dead until I binged 6 seasons of one in 4 days
I swore off network sitcoms after getting bored of the same laugh track stuff, but my roommate put on the first episode of this show during a rainy Sunday in Seattle and I didn't move off the couch for 6 hours. Binged all 6 seasons in 4 days and now I'm mad I waited so long, the characters actually grow instead of resetting each episode. What's a show you skipped for years and then blew through way too fast?
Kinda gotta push back on the laugh track thing. A lot of the newer sitcoms don't even use one, they film more like a single camera comedy without the fake audience stuff. The one you're talking about might be one of those honestly, since the whole "characters grow" thing is way harder to pull off with a live audience resetting the vibe every week. What show was it?
Also Parks and Rec for me. Tried the first season years ago and thought it was just a bad Office knockoff, then someone told me to skip to season 2 and I finished the whole thing in like a week.
