My board group's trash can is a plastic nightmare
After our board gatherings, the waste is out of control. I'm tired of being the only one who sorts it. Companies should use less plastic in their products.

See where you're coming from with the plastic overload, but it's not just on the companies. We all buy the stuff. Maybe your group could agree to bring reusable bottles and cups next time. Starts with people making different choices, not just waiting for the box to change. What did the rest of the board say when you brought it up?

Totally get that, and it's SO true we have to own our part. Taking it further, if our whole group switches to reusables, it shows companies we're serious and WON'T keep buying their waste. When I brought it up, some board members rolled their eyes, but others got on board and now we're making it a rule for all events. That small shift in our habits creates real pressure for them to offer better stuff. It's about proving demand changes faster when we act together, not just talk. We can literally force the box to change by first changing our own choices.
