Rant: That scaffold collapse saved my week in Boise
We had a 40 foot section of tube and coupler come down sideways on Tuesday because the ground crew set the base plates on frost, and the super just laughed and said 'at least it didn't hit the new welder', which got me thinking, has anyone else had a wreck that ended up being the best thing that happened on a job?

Wait, are you really saying a 40 foot collapse was a good thing... because it kept you busy for the week? I mean, sure, nobody got hurt and the welder was fine, but that sounds like a lot of rework and a pissed off client, not a win. Frost on base plates is pretty basic stuff, the ground crew should know better by now. Maybe the super's just trying to keep morale up, but I'd be more worried about the next frosty morning than feeling lucky. Sounds like a headache dressed up as a blessing, if you ask me.
