Our club split 5 to 4 over reading the sequel first and I still think we got it wrong
Last month at our meeting in the back room of the library on Grand Ave, we had to pick between reading the sequel to a book we all loved or starting a totally new author. I pushed hard for the new author because sequels usually let me down, and we voted 5 to 4 to go that way. Two weeks in and three people have already dropped out, and the ones who wanted the sequel keep bringing it up every meeting. Has anyone else had a close vote like that come back to bite them, or do you just let it ride out the month?

Did the same thing happen when your group read a new author and half quit?
