My headset update bricked the calibration overnight
Last Tuesday I plugged in the new firmware for my BCI headset before bed, like they told me to. Woke up and the calibration data was all zeros, motor imagery maps showing nothing but noise. Contacted support, they had me redo the 20 minute setup three times, still broken. Had to go back to the old version and re-train my left hand signal from scratch. Took me two days to get back to 85% accuracy. Has anyone else had an update wipe their calibration profiles without warning?
Is a firmware update really what broke it, or did the calibration just time out on you? I've seen posts like this before where people blame the update but it turns out their headset sat idle for a few weeks and the profile got wiped by some auto-cleanup thing. Two days to get back to 85% seems rough though, so maybe there is something real going on. Did support actually confirm the update was the cause, or did they just have you redo the setup as a default script? Not saying you're wrong, just that firmware and calibration problems can look the same from the outside.
