Overheard a GC say my brick color was 'off' but he was wrong

I was on a job in Tacoma last week and the general contractor told his client that my brick color didn't match the sample I gave him 3 days before. The sample was sitting right there in the sun, and the wall hadn't even been washed yet. He said "that's not the same shade, we need to reorder" without even touching the brick. I pulled out my phone and showed him the photo I took at the yard under the same light, and he finally backed off. Has anyone else had to deal with a GC who trusts his eyes over the actual product, and how do you handle it without burning the relationship?
