Trowel size debate settled by a 900 block day in Phoenix

I switched from a 10 inch to an 8 inch trowel for a backyard wall last week, and my wrist quit screaming by noon, so has anyone else found smaller tools actually save time on long runs?

Swear I was team bigger-is-better forever, but after a 600 block day last month my elbow was shot. Dropped to the 8 inch for a patio and finished just as fast, plus I could actually move my arm the next morning. You might be onto something.
