Wrote off those expensive trowels as a gimmick for years

Bought a Marshalltown duraform last month after my buddy in Tulsa swore by his and now I'm kicking myself for all those blisters I got from my old cheapo trowel - has anyone else found a tool they ignored that turned out to be a game changer?

Man that duraform is no joke. I picked one up last spring after burning through three cheap trowels in two years and the difference in how the mud lays down is night and day. What got me was how much less fatigue I had at the end of a long day, my wrist didn't ache nearly as bad. It's one of those things where you don't realize how much a good handle and proper flex matters until you've actually used it. Makes me wonder what else I've been cheaping out on that would save me time and aggravation.

Ever notice how good tools just feel different in your hand right from the start?
