Garlic powder still beats fresh for my meal prep, here's why
I usually buy fresh garlic every Sunday for my weekly prep, but last month I ran low and grabbed a big jar of granulated garlic for $3. To my surprise, the flavor came through just as strong in my chili and rice bowls, and cleanup took half the time. Fresh garlic definitely wins for special dinners, but for 5 days of lunches, the powder is way easier on my wallet and schedule. Has anyone else switched to dried spices for weeknight cooking and stuck with it?

My neighbor Pete swore by fresh garlic for years, would even grow his own. Then he broke his arm last fall and couldn't chop anything for six weeks. He switched to the jarred stuff for his stews and now he won't go back, says the powder is way more forgiving when he gets distracted watching the game lol. He still busts out fresh bulbs for his Sunday pasta sauce though.
