My neighbor's 20 year old tip about frozen veg turned out right
So my neighbor Bob, the guy who grows way too many tomatoes, kept telling me to buy frozen spinach and broccoli instead of fresh. I always thought it was a texture thing. Last month I finally tried it for a week of dinners. Honestly for soups and stir fries you can't tell the difference, and the bag costs like $2 versus $4 for fresh that goes bad in 3 days. I've been doing it for 4 weeks now and my grocery bill dropped noticeably. Anyone else have a hack like this from an older relative that you ignored for ages?

Ha! Yeah Bob knew what he was talking about. I had the same thing with my grandma and canned tomatoes, she swore by them for sauces and honestly she was right, fresh just doesn't break down the same way. The real pro move is buying the big frozen bags when they're on sale, then you just grab a handful when you need it. Saves money AND cuts way down on food waste, which was my biggest issue before.
