Switched from buying bagged rice to a 25 pound sack from the Asian market

I live down the street from H Mart and I still buy the regular 5 pound bags. That 25 pound sack sounds like a great deal until you realize you're committing to eating the same rice for the next six months. I've had too many bags get weevils or just go stale before I could finish them. Plus storing that thing takes up half a cabinet. I'd rather pay a little more per pound and have the flexibility to switch to jasmine or basmati when I feel like it.

Laughing at myself a little here because I bought one of those 25 pound bags from the local Asian market and now I'm basically in a committed relationship with this rice. My cabinet looks like a grain silo exploded in there and I've got a backup bag of jasmine hidden in the closet just in case I need a break. At this rate I'll be eating the same rice until my grandkids are grown - if I ever have any that is. But hey, at least the cats think it's a new fort to explore every time I pull it out.
