Just realized overnight buses beat hostels for my last Lisbon trip

I took a 9 PM bus from Lisbon to Porto for 12 euros and slept through the whole ride, then showed up at 7 AM with a full day ahead instead of wasting daylight on check-in. Compare that to the 25 euro hostel bed where I got zero sleep because of snorers and a squeaky bunk. Has anyone else swapped a night in a dorm for a night bus to stretch their budget and sightseeing time?
