Met a guy at a hostel in Lisbon who saved me $60 on laundry

I was about to drop $12 on hostel laundry when this older traveler at the sink showed me his trick with a dry bag and some soap. He scrubbed all his clothes in 5 minutes and hung them on the balcony. Anyone else use this method or just me?

Didn't your mom ever teach you that hand washing doesn't count as an adventure story? That guy probably charges $20 for the tutorial and another $40 for the dry bag as a "souvenir" of your trip. I mean, good on you for saving a few bucks, but scrubbing my underwear in a sink sounds like a great way to turn a vacation into a chore. You sure he didn't just want to show off his fancy bag and get you hooked on the travel gear lifestyle? Anyway, hope the balcony was clean before you draped your socks over it.
