Spent 3 hours in a Lisbon hostel lobby trying to print a bus ticket, paper vs phone debate
I was in Lisbon two weeks ago and the hostel printer wanted 2 euros for 5 pages, so I tried to just show the FlixBus driver my phone instead, which turned into a whole mess at the station. Some folks say a printed ticket is worth the hassle because drivers can be picky, while others swear the app works fine and I just got unlucky with one grumpy guy. Where do you all land on this, do you pay for printing or trust your screen?
Watched my buddy get turned away from a FlixBus in Porto last summer because his phone died right at the gate, no charger, no printout, nothing. He ended up buying a whole new ticket for the next day and ate the cost plus a hostel night. Since then he always snaps a screenshot AND prints a copy at the hostel for a euro or two. Two euros is way cheaper than a rebook, so I just eat the fee now.
