Still don't get the hype around monthly cover pages in bullet journals

I've been bullet journaling since 2019 and I see all these elaborate monthly cover pages on Instagram, but for me they just waste 2 or 3 pages I could use for actual tracking. Does anyone else skip the decorative stuff and just write the month name in plain text at the top?
