Took me 4 hours to figure out why my monthly spread kept bleeding through 3 pages
So I use a Leuchtturm1917 with those darker 120gsm pages, right? Thought I was set. Drew up my October spread with a Tombow dual brush for the header, and by the time I was done the ink was on the next page. And the page after that. And the one after that.
Spent 4 hours convinced my pen was broken. Googled "Tombow bleeding 120gsm" like 40 times. Watched a guy on YouTube test every marker known to man. Tried waiting longer between strokes. Nothing.
Turns out the issue was me pressing down so hard I was basically carving the paper. My hand was doing the work of a wet paint roller. I lightened up my pressure and suddenly zero bleed. FOUR HOURS for something a 10 year old could've told me.
Anyone else ever blame their supplies when it was actually just their death grip on the pen?
Been there lol. My death grip has wrecked more journal pages than any pen ever did. Pretty sure my hand thinks its job is to emboss the paper, not write on it.
