Our invoice pile went from 3 days of work to 20 minutes after one switch at the shop
Six months ago I was hand writing every invoice for my pressure washing jobs on paper, and at tax time last year it took me 3 full days just to sort receipts and match them to jobs. I finally started using a cheap $12 app to log jobs and send bills the same day, and now the paperwork side of the business takes maybe 20 minutes a week. It was not the app itself that helped, it was that billing happens right when I finish the driveway instead of piling up for weeks. Curious if anyone else runs a one person shop and how you handle the money side without hiring a bookkeeper.
