Cabinet doors: went with birch plywood over MDF for a kitchen in Bend and I'm second guessing it
Client wanted painted shaker doors for their kitchen remodel in Bend and I had to pick between MDF and birch plywood for the panel. I went with plywood because MDF swells so bad if any moisture gets near it, but now I'm looking at 14 doors with grain telegraphing through the paint. Should've primed with a high build primer instead of the cheap stuff I had in the truck. The client hasn't noticed yet but I see it every time I walk in that kitchen. Any of you switched to a different primer for painted plywood doors?
