Last Tuesday's batch of cherry veneer had me double checking my dial gauge

I was laying up a full kitchen set in Greenville and every single sheet of that cherry lot was reading 0.025 inches thicker on the left edge, which threw my flush trim bits off on three door panels before I caught it. Took me an extra four hours to redo those panels and reset the press clamps, plus I had to order another sheet from a different supplier because the batch was just inconsistent. Has anyone else dealt with a run of veneer that varied like that, or am I just unlucky with this mill?
