Warning: Took me 6 hours to fix a door that was off by 1/16th
I was fitting a shaker style cabinet door last weekend and the gap on the hinge side was just a hair too tight... kept pulling the door out and adjusting the cup depth on the Blum 107s. Turned out the cabinet box was racked by maybe a 32nd, so I had to shim the whole face frame in the corner. Anyone else spend way too long chasing a tiny gap before realizing the box is the problem?

Man I feel your pain. Had a similar thing happen with a set of walnut cabinet doors last fall, spent almost a whole Saturday shaving hinges and adjusting the overlay before I finally grabbed a level and realized the whole rough opening was twisted. Ended up pulling the door off and scribing the jamb instead, which solved it in like 20 minutes but man did I feel stupid after those first few hours. The little stuff will eat your whole day if you let it, especially when it's just barely off enough to bug you.

Did you at least have a beer to celebrate that 20 minute fix or did the embarrassment kill your buzz? @gavin_clark I swear sometimes my own house knows exactly which projects to pick to humble me. It's always the simple stuff too, like one door being off by a stupid 1/8 inch that turns into a whole Saturday circus.
