Watched a buddy spend 45 minutes measuring drawer fronts last weekend, then he just grabbed a spacer jig he built 3 years ago and nailed it in 5.
I was over there helping him layout a bank of kitchen drawers, and I kept trying to explain the math while he literally ignored me and pulled out this beat up wooden thing from his truck. Has anyone else just found a jig or template you made forever ago that still saves the day?

Old jigs never die, they just wait for you to forget the math.

Funny how that works... you spend hours setting up a jig just right, get all the angles dialed in. Then six months later you're staring at it like it's written in a foreign language. Had that happen with a dovetail jig last winter, took me an entire afternoon to figure out what I was doing again.
