A ranger in Shenandoah made me dump out my whole pack at the gate and now I can't stop thinking about it
She pulled out my 10 year old stove, checked the fuel line, and said she sees more failures from old gear than new gear. So is a $25 replacement every few seasons smart, or is it just companies scaring us into buying stuff? Where do you all draw the line on when gear is too old to trust?
