Discovered a way to dry out wet boots overnight without ruining them

I was sick of wet boots every morning after rainy hikes. Tried stuffing them with newspaper and setting them near a fan on low. It worked way better than my old trick of using a campfire which just damaged the leather.

Oh boy, another "genius" idea that involves a fan. I guess my campfire method is officially out of style.

Hang on, let me tell you something about that campfire method. I tried it once in my backyard and the smoke smell stuck to my clothes for three days straight. A fan might seem like a gimmick but it actually moves that hot air away from you instead of just letting it rise and settle. If you ever get stuck in a room with no windows, you'll be begging for even a cheap desk fan to push that stale air out.
