My $9 Walmart camp chair vs a $150 foldable throne
I brought both on a trip to Lake Tahoe last weekend. The cheap chair tilted sideways every time I leaned back and the leg sunk into the dirt. The expensive one stayed solid even when I dozed off after lunch. Has anyone else found that spending more on chairs actually saves you from patching holes in your tent floor?

Man that sucks... the leg sinking into dirt thing drives me crazy. I've had cheap chairs just collapse on me mid-sit and it's the worst feeling.

Nah see I actually don't mind the leg sinking thing so much. You can put a little flat rock or a piece of wood under it and you're good. Better than a chair that tips over on hard ground because the legs are too small. I've got this old camping chair from like 10 years ago that's got those big flat feet and it just sits there no matter what the dirt is like. The collapsing thing though that's a different story. Had a friend that bought one of those super cheap folding chairs and it just folded him right into the mud. That's not the leg sinking that's just bad engineering.
