Hit 47 years old and realized I've been gripping my framing hammer wrong this whole time
After 25 years of swinging a hammer I finally counted my strikes on a big wall last week and saw I was wasting like 30% of my energy, has anyone else had a basic skill suddenly click way later than it should have?

Man that's wild but honestly same thing happened to me with a circular saw. Used it wrong for like 10 years until a old timer showed me a better grip and it felt like a whole new tool.

Gotta wonder how many small things we do half-wrong every single day without ever realizing it. Like the way you hold a fork or tie your shoes probably ain't the most efficient way either, but nobody ever questions it until something finally clicks. Makes you think there's a whole layer of dumb habits hiding underneath everything we do.
