Decided between enclosed and open carrier for my 69 Mustang...

I was shipping my 69 Mustang from Atlanta to Dallas last month and went back and forth on paying $950 for enclosed vs $650 for open transport. Ended up going with the open carrier since it was a sunny week and the trucker had good reviews about covering cars with a tarp. Did anyone else sweat this decision and regret or feel good about it later?

Jumped on the open carrier for my 57 Bel Air across state lines and the driver threw a heavy tarp on it for the whole trip. Car showed up clean with no damage at all, saved a solid $250. Made the same call for my Super Bee too?

Man, I used to think enclosed was the only way to go for anything vintage. But hearing about your sunny week and the tarp cover actually changed my mind. If the weather holds and the driver is solid, open just seems like a smart call.
