Dropped $150 on a resume writing service and got zero callbacks

I paid $150 for a resume writer I found on LinkedIn, and after 3 weeks of sending it out, I got nothing. Has anyone else paid for resume help and actually seen results?

Man OH MAN do I feel your pain! I dropped $200 on some "premium" resume service and got the SAME exact result. Total waste of money. They just use templates and change a few words around, nothing special. I ended up just rewriting mine myself and honestly got more calls from that version than theirs. These services are a total scam for most people, I swear.

That $200 could've bought you a whole month of a LinkedIn premium subscription or something actually useful. What gets me is how these services market themselves like they have some secret sauce, but really they just pull from the same pool of generic advice. You end up with a resume that looks professional on the surface but has zero personality or actual insight into your field. The real trick is just understanding what keywords matter in your industry and tailoring your own stuff to that. Why pay someone else to guess at that when you know your own work better than anyone? Most of these companies are just preying on people who are already stressed and desperate for a job.
