That moment the projector died during my big client pitch in Cleveland

I was in a conference room at a Marriott in Cleveland about 6 years ago, middle of explaining a cost breakdown, and the projector just went black with a pop sound. The client had about 15 people sitting there staring at me, and I had no backup plan since my laptop battery was at 5 percent. I ended up drawing the whole thing out on a whiteboard from memory, which actually saved the deal, but has anyone else had a tech failure turn into something better?

Projector dying and you win the deal? Sounds like you accidentally did great.

Yeah, 'accidentally did great' might be the best description. My buddy had something similar happen. His laptop blue-screened right when he was about to show a client the revised budget spreadsheet. He just turned it to face them and said 'there it is, the system knows this is a bad deal.' They laughed and signed the contract. He still has no clue what was on that screen.
