I was at the Seattle tech job fair last month and noticed this one guy kept getting waved right through to talk to recruiters while everyone else waited in line. Turns out he was asking the booth helpers a simple question about the company's biggest challenge right now instead of just dropping his resume. Has anyone else used a specific opener that got you past the front table faster?

Read something similar in a career blog once, asking about their pain points really does work.
