Too busy" is the worst kind of client feedback.

Actually, that kind of feedback can be a real gift. It's way more honest than a client who ghosts you forever. At least they gave you a clear reason, so you can close the file and move on without wondering what went wrong.

Yeah, closing the file is the best part. When a client says they're "too busy" like @mason.charlie mentioned, I just take it at face value now. It means the project isn't a priority for them right now, and that's fine. I send a quick note saying the door is open if things change, then I stop all work. It frees me up for clients who are actually ready to go.
