I thought Japanese pull saws were just a gimmick for hobbyists
My buddy lent me his Ryoba saw last month when my cordless saw died on a trim job. I was sure it would be slow and weak, but it cut through some oak trim like butter and left a cleaner edge than my power saw ever did. Now I'm looking at adding one to my kit, but part of me still thinks a good old backsaw is more reliable for rough work. Has anyone else made the switch and found a real use for them on daily jobs?

That "cleaner edge than my power saw" part is so true. What kind of rough work makes you still reach for the backsaw first?

Rough work" for a backsaw... is that even a thing anymore?
