PSA: Don't use your framing nailer for trim, I learned that one the hard way

Last weekend I tried to save time and used my 30-degree nailer for some baseboard in a client's living room. Split the wood clean in half, cost me $40 in materials and two hours to redo it. Has anyone else had a tool fail you like that when you cut corners?

Yeah, grab a finish nailer next time.

Man yeah that is spot on! I tried hanging some baseboards with a hammer and brad nails once and it was a total mess. The nail gun just makes everything clean and fast, saves you from busting your knuckles too. Now I grab my finish nailer for any trim job no matter how small. It pays for itself after one project honestly.
