Appreciation post: A job in a 1920s bungalow in Savannah made me stop using a knee kicker on every seam.

Seeing how a power stretcher got a perfect, lasting tight fit on that old, uneven floor convinced me the extra setup is always worth it, or am I just making my life harder?

Power stretchers are a game changer on old floors, totally worth the setup time lol.

Totally agree about the setup time being worth it. I had this one room with floors that were so cupped and uneven. Using a manual knee kicker just left wrinkles and loose spots. The power stretcher let me really lock it in tight from the far wall. That carpet hasn't budged in ten years.
