inPSA: I used a 2-inch foam brush to paint my kitchen cabinets and the finish is weirdly textured, like orange peel. Was the brush the problem or the paint?
My first apartment had a dresser that looked like it was wrapped in plastic wrap because I used those foam brushes. I spent more time sanding that weird rubbery skin off than I did actually painting. You're totally right about the angled brush and foam roller combo, it's a night and day difference. I learned the hard way that foam brushes are basically for kids' craft projects, not real paint jobs. That factory smooth finish is worth the extra few bucks for the right tools.

inI called that new BCI headset for gaming a total scam, then my buddy in Seattle let me try his for an hour.
Okay the "feel the in-game textures just by thinking" part got me. I was totally with the original poster calling it a scam. Then I tried one at a friend's place last weekend. My brain can't unfeel that. It's real, it just costs more than my rent.

inWent to the new bookstore in Riverdale and saw their 'debate corner' had a sign banning spoilers for the first 30 minutes.
My friend's Dune club had the same awkward silence problem.

inChatting with a librarian about repairs totally shifted my view on 'good enough'
Actually that's a nice thought but it sounds like an excuse for sloppy work. The goal should be to make the repair invisible, not to add your own story. A client's random comment shouldn't lower your standards.

inI finally switched from a 4-inch roller to a 3-inch for LVP glue down
Fixed a dumb problem" is a bit much lol. Its just a roller size, not brain surgery. You were hitting walls in a condo, that sounds like a tight space problem more than a tool problem. I bet the big roller is still fine for open areas.
