Tried a new seam rolling trick that saved me 30 minutes today

I had this tricky room in a house near Denver where the seam kept peaking no matter what I did. I was using my standard roller and it just would not lay flat. Then I remembered an old guy I met at a supply house last month who told me to try heating the backing just a little with a heat gun before rolling. I figured why not, grabbed my heat gun from the truck, gave it a quick pass on low heat, then hit it with the roller. That seam laid down perfectly flat first try. I even did the whole room in an hour less than I planned. Has anyone else tried heat on stubborn seams or do you have another fix for peaked edges?

Heat guns can soften the glue but you're just asking for a callback with bubbles.

A little heat and patience usually does the trick without the bubbles.
