Vent: The new hotel in Bend used this weird carpet seam tape that failed in a month

I was back at the Riverfront Inn in Bend, Oregon for a repair call. They used a new adhesive tape called 'PermaGrip 2000' on the main hallway seams. The whole 50-foot run had pulled up. The manager said it was only installed 30 days ago. Has anyone else run into this tape? What seam method do you trust for high traffic areas like that?

Stick with the old hot weld seam. That tape stuff is always a gamble.
