Found a censored copy of '1984' in a Little Free Library outside Portland

I was walking my dog last Saturday near my apartment in Beaverton and spotted a Little Free Library. Inside was a copy of '1984' with about 15 pages glued together near the end... covering the appendix about Newspeak. I carefully peeled the pages apart with a butter knife and found the full text underneath. Has anyone else found books that were physically altered, not just banned from shelves?

Whoa. That's creepy timing. I found a mystery novel in my dentist's waiting room once that had whole chapters ripped out. Like someone didn't want people to know who did it.

Whoa, that gives me the creeps. I had a copy of "Fahrenheit 451" from a library sale once where someone had scratched out all the references to book burning with a black marker.
