Why does nobody warn you that getting a word unflagged takes 11 days
I got a post removed on a hobby forum last month for using the word "scalpel" in a wood carving thread. Support said it tripped their self harm filter, which is wild since I was talking about basswood. I spent 11 days going back and forth with their help desk and got 4 different canned replies before a real person even read my ticket. The fix was just retyping the sentence without the word and waiting for a mod to eyeball it. Everyone says just appeal and move on but nobody tells you the appeal itself is the slow part. Has anyone actually gotten a flag reversed by arguing, or is rewriting the only thing that works?
Watched a buddy fight a parking ticket for three weeks over a typo on the sign, and by the end he cared way more about winning than the actual money. Feels like these appeal systems are built so slow that most people just give up and eat the loss. Rewriting is faster, but it still bugs me that the filter never learns and the next person hits the same wall.
