I found out my old blog posts were being quietly deleted by the platform 3 years ago

Was digging through the Wayback Machine last month and noticed 12 of my posts about local protests in 2021 vanished from the archive, no notification or reason given from the site. Has anyone else caught their old content disappearing like this and figured out a way to track it?

Noticed this same thing with my recipe blog from 2018. Had a post about making sourdough during the lockdown and poof, gone one day. Platforms are quietly scrubbing stuff they think might cause trouble later, like old COVID stuff or anything political. It's not just you, it's a whole pattern where companies decide what we can and can't look back on. Wayback Machine is your best bet for catching it, but even that's spotty sometimes. Save your own copies locally if you care about keeping that history.

Heard the Wayback Machine is wiping stuff too now when companies ask them to. Makes you wonder how much internet history just quietly disappears every year without anyone noticing. Like we're just trusting these platforms to hold our memories and they're deleting them whenever it's convenient.
