Walk-in cooler temp swings drove me crazy for 6 months
I finally checked the gasket on the door and it was torn in three places, letting warm air in every time the compressor cycled. Replaced it with a $40 kit from a supply house last Tuesday and now the temp stays within 2 degrees all shift. How often do you guys actually check your cooler door seals?

... and then I spent three weeks chasing a ghost leak in the same walk-in last winter. New gasket didn't fix it. Turned out the door hinges were so loose the door was hanging a quarter inch off the frame on one side. I shimmed them with a couple of beer coasters and a washer, no joke, and it held until I got replacement hinges ordered six months later. Still check those hinges every time I walk past now - that little sag adds up fast.

You ever notice how something that small can cause such a headache? My buddy @jaken23 had a similar issue with an old freezer door last year, and it turned out a single bent hinge was letting all the cold air escape without looking visibly wrong.
