Elm Street chimney hid a plastic egg nest from who knows when
I was cleaning a chimney for a couple on Elm Street earlier this week. Stuck in the flue, I found a bird's nest made entirely of twigs and three bright plastic Easter eggs. The owners had no clue how long it had been there, since they never use their fireplace. We all got a kick out of it, and I cleared it out before finishing the job.

Man, that story is wild... a bird using plastic eggs for its nest. Kind of makes me laugh because my own Easter egg hiding skills are so bad, I once 'hid' them in the middle of the lawn and my kid found them in two seconds flat. At least that bird had a creative spot going on... up in a chimney where nobody would look. I can't even blame the owners for not knowing it was there, since I forget where I put my car keys half the time. It's funny how things end up in the weirdest places without anyone noticing for years. Makes you wonder what else is tucked away in old houses like that.

Seriously though, like @emeryfox's bowling ball, it's just some old junk.
