I finally broke down and bought a $900 rotary cleaning system

It was a SootMaster 2000, and I fought it for years thinking my rods and brushes were fine. After a nasty creosote clog in a brick flue in Burlington took me three hours by hand, I gave in. The rotary head cleared the same job in under 40 minutes. Anyone else make the switch and find it pays for itself faster than they thought?

Three hours down to 40 minutes is a huge difference. How many jobs do you figure it took to actually cover the cost?

Was I the only one who thought those old brushes were good enough? That speed difference would change my mind fast.
